Recently, Chezhi.com obtained a set of official pictures of the 2025 BYD Song PLUS DM-i model. The biggest highlight of the new car is the adjustment of appearance details, and it is equipped with BYD’s fifth-generation DM technology. It is reported that the new car will be officially launched on July 25.
In terms of appearance, the overall shape of the new car still continues the design style of the current model. The difference is that the new car will provide brand-new 19-inch aluminum alloy low-wind resistance wheels. In addition, the rear LOGO can be illuminated and the "Build Your Dreams" logo at the rear is changed to the "BYD" logo. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4775mm*1890mm*1670mm, and the wheelbase length is 2765mm.
In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with BYD's fifth-generation DM hybrid technology, with a 1.5L engine with a maximum power of 74kW and a drive motor with a maximum power of 160kW. Compared with the current model, the engine power is reduced by 7kW, and the maximum power of the drive motor is increased by 15kW. In terms of batteries, the new car will provide lithium iron phosphate batteries with capacities of 12.96kWh, 18.316kWh and 26.593kWh. The pure electric cruising range under WLTC conditions is 60km, 91km and 128km respectively.
