New Energy Vehicles Lead the Way to Sustainable Development

Exciting developments have taken place in BYD Uzbekistan recently with the visit of President Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan to BYD Uzbekistan. BYD’s 2024 Song PLUS DM-I Champion Edition, 2024 Destroyer 05 Champion Edition and other first batch of mass-produced new energy vehicles rolled off the production line at BYD’s Uzbekistan factory. This marks an important milestone in BYD’s commitment to green transformation and sustainable development. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Yu Jun, BYD Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu, and Executive Vice President Li Ke jointly witnessed this event.  BYD cooperates with the Uzbekistan government to promote sustainable travel methods, further demonstrating BYD’s commitment to low-carbon and environmental protection.

BYD’s Uzbekistan plant is located in Jizzak Oblast and is the result of a joint venture between BYD and Uzavtosanoat JSC (UzAuto).  The completion of the factory marks a strategic move to meet the growing demand for new energy vehicles in the Central Asian market.  The first phase of production will focus on the production of two plug-in hybrid models, Song PLUS DM-i Champion Edition and Destroyer 05 Champion Edition, with an annual production capacity of 50,000 units.  This move is in line with BYD’s vision of accelerating the green transformation of local transportation and promoting sustainable travel methods in the region.

BYD Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu emphasized the importance of mass production at the Uzbekistan plant in promoting the green transformation of local transportation.  The company’s commitment to environmentally friendly mobility has been further solidified by signing the Green Transportation Cooperation Initiative with the Uzbek government.  This move not only reflects BYD’s emphasis on environmental protection, but also highlights BYD’s role in promoting innovative concepts and technologies for sustainable development.

BYD entered the Uzbek market in March 2023 and achieved great success.  The company’s high-quality new energy passenger vehicle products, innovative technologies, and professional localized services have made BYD the best-selling new energy vehicle brand in China.  The 2024 BYD Song PLUS DM-I Champion Edition and the 2024 BYD Destroyer 05 Champion Edition not only demonstrate BYD’s commitment to sustainable development, but also demonstrate the company’s ability to meet the changing needs of consumers in the region.

BYD’s development of new energy vehicles is not only conducive to environmentally friendly travel, but also provides consumers with innovative and cost-effective solutions.  These vehicles integrate smart cockpit technology and boast impressive design elements, making them an excellent choice for environmentally conscious consumers.  The affordable models, coupled with impressive design and advanced technology, have won widespread attention and favor among Uzbek consumers.

BYD’s new energy vehicles are in a leading position in promoting green transformation and sustainable development in Uzbekistan and even the broader Central Asian market.  The company’s cooperation with the Uzbek government and its commitment to environmentally friendly travel highlight its dedication to low-carbon environmental protection.  As BYD continues to leverage innovative ideas and technologies, it will play a key role in driving the widespread adoption of new energy vehicles and shaping the future of green transportation in the region.
