Electric vehicle maker Lucid has announced that its financial services and leasing arm, Lucid Financial Services, will offer Canadian residents more flexible car rental options. Canadian consumers can now lease the all-new Air electric vehicle, making Canada the third country where Lucid offers new car leasing services.
Lucid announced on August 20 that Canadian customers can lease its Air models through a new service offered by Lucid Financial Services. It is reported that Lucid Financial Services is a digital financial platform developed by Lucid Group and Bank of America after establishing a strategic partnership in 2022. Before launching its rental service in Canada, Lucid offered the service in the United States and Saudi Arabia.
Peter Rawlinson, CEO and CTO of Lucid, said: “Canadian customers can now experience Lucid’s unparalleled performance and interior space while taking advantage of flexible financial options to meet their life needs. Our online process will also provide high-level service throughout the entire process. personalized support to ensure the entire experience meets the standards of service customers have come to expect from Lucid.”
Canadian consumers can check out leasing options for the 2024 Lucid Air now, with leasing options for the 2025 model set to launch soon.
Lucid had another record quarter after exceeding its second-quarter delivery target for its flagship Air sedan, the company’s only model currently on the market.
Lucid’s second-quarter revenue rose as Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) injected another $1.5 billion into the company. Lucid is using those funds and some new demand levers to drive sales of the Air until the Gravity electric SUV joins its portfolio.
