1.Strategy GAC
In order to further consolidate its market share in Europe, GAC International has officially established a European office in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. This strategic move is an important step for GAC Group to deepen its localized operations and accelerate its integration into the European automotive landscape. As the carrier of GAC International’s European business, the new office will be responsible for the market development, brand promotion, sales and service operations of GAC Group’s independent brands in Europe.
The European auto market is increasingly seen as a key battleground for Chinese automakers to increase their global influence. Feng Xingya, general manager of GAC Group, highlighted the challenges of entering the European market, noting that Europe is the birthplace of the automobile and that consumers are very loyal to local brands. However, GAC’s entry into Europe comes at a time when the auto industry is transitioning from traditional fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles (NEVs).
This shift provides GAC with a unique opportunity to take a leading position in the booming NEV sector.
GAC Group’s emphasis on innovation and adaptation is reflected in its entry into the European market.
GAC Group is committed to focusing on high-tech attributes to create a new product experience that resonates with European consumers.
GAC Group actively promotes the deep integration of the brand with European society, quickly responds to consumer needs and preferences, and ultimately helps the brand achieve new breakthroughs in a highly competitive market.
2.GAC Heart
In 2018, GAC made its debut at the Paris Motor Show, kicking off its journey into Europe.
In 2022, GAC established a design center in Milan and a European headquarters in the Netherlands. These strategic initiatives are aimed at building a European talent team, implementing localized operations, and enhancing the brand’s adaptability and competitiveness in the European market. This year, GAC returned to the Paris Motor Show with a stronger lineup, bringing a total of 6 models of its own brands GAC MOTOR and GAC AION.
GAC released the “European Market Plan” at the show, planning a long-term strategy to deepen its presence in the European market, aiming to achieve strategic win-win and inclusive development.
One of the highlights of GAC Group’s launch at the Paris Motor Show is the AION V, GAC Group’s first global strategic model designed specifically for European consumers. Taking into account the significant differences between the European and Chinese markets in terms of user habits and regulatory requirements, GAC Group has invested additional design features in the AION V. These enhancements include higher data and intelligent safety requirements, as well as improvements to the body structure to ensure that the car meets the expectations of European consumers when it goes on sale next year.
AION V embodies GAC’s commitment to advanced battery technology, which is the cornerstone of its product offering. GAC Aion’s battery technology is recognized as an industry leader, featuring long driving range, long battery life and high safety performance. In addition, GAC Aion has conducted extensive research on battery degradation and implemented various technical measures to mitigate its impact on battery life. This focus on innovation not only improves the performance of GAC vehicles, but also aligns with the global push for sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation solutions.
In addition to the AION V, GAC Group also plans to launch a B-segment SUV and a B-segment hatchback in the next two years to expand its product matrix in Europe. This strategic expansion reflects GAC Group’s understanding of the diverse needs of European consumers and its commitment to providing a range of choices that meet different preferences and lifestyles. As demand for new energy vehicles continues to grow in Europe, GAC Group is well positioned to capitalize on this trend and contribute to a greener world.
3.Green Leading
The growing popularity of Chinese new energy vehicles in the European market is indicative of a broader global shift towards sustainable transport solutions.
As countries around the world prioritize environmental sustainability and reducing carbon emissions, the development and adoption of new energy vehicles has become critical.
GAC Group’s commitment to this energy development path is in line with the world’s choice to adopt cleaner and more efficient modes of transport.
In summary, GAC International’s recent initiatives in Europe highlight the company’s commitment to innovation, localization and sustainability. By establishing a strong presence in the European market and focusing on the development of new energy vehicles, GAC is not only strengthening its global influence, but also contributing to the collective effort to create a greener and more sustainable future.
As the automotive industry continues to evolve, GAC’s strategic approach positions it to become a key player in the transition to a more environmentally friendly transportation landscape.
